Accessibility Considerations:
- Will the student have access to a private space for notes or computer use? We try our best to have a private space, it may at times be in a boardroom with another student/staff but there is space.
- Are there breaks between clients/patients/meetings? Depending on the program, sometimes it may be 5-10 minutes in between 1-1 clients, other times can be one group running on a day.
- Is the practicum considered fast-paced? Depending on case load, activities assigned – we are a supportive environment and work with students to set them up for success.
- Is there a high noise level in the practicum? On-site programs may be loud, office work is typically quieter.
- Is the site wheelchair accessible? On-site programs might be, the main office is not.
- What are the physical demands of the practicum? Sitting, carrying program materials/supplies, depending on program (i.e. leading yoga, etc.).
- Are there any other accessibility considerations that potential applicants with disabilities should be aware of? We work with our students to set them up for success, please communicate any needs in advance so we can do our best
For any accommodations please communicate these with Alison directly.
