Kristen Lwin is working towards her Ph.D. in social work at the University of Toronto. Kristen has previously earned a Master of Social Work degree, Bachelor of Social Work degree, Bachelor of Arts (Hon.) in psychology, and diploma from the Assaulted Women and Children Counsellor Advocate Program. Kristen has over 10 years of social work practice experience including working with victims and witnesses in the criminal court system and various positions in child welfare including intake, ongoing, and children’s services worker. After leaving a practitioner role in child welfare Kristen began working in child welfare research and program evaluation and is now the Executive Director of a child welfare focused knowledge mobilization and implementation national organization. Kristen is interested in how child practitioner and organizational characteristics are associated with decision-making in child welfare.
