Aaron Turpin is a first year PhD student at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. His research interests focus on characteristics and factors of socially innovative programs in the non-profit sector; specifically program evaluation and assessing organizational and leadership dynamics and their relationship to social innovation and improved outcomes for service users within human service organizations.
Aaron has worked in various research, policy, and management positions for organizations serving youth and adults with mental health and substance misuse concerns. Recently, Aaron has assisted on several studies collecting data from program evaluations of direct service non-profit organizations, including a province-wide government-supported study on organizational and workplace dynamics that support workplace safety and prevent workplace violence in Alberta, Canada. Aaron continues to foster a keen interest in organizational scholarship.
