Yvonne Bomberry

Yvonne is a Mohawk, Bear clan woman from the Six Nations Reserve. She is currently the Supervisor of the Family Support/Community Support & Mental Health Programs at the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation. Yvonne has over twenty-five years of social work experience with Indigenous people in child welfare, family violence, mental health, addictions and the criminal justice system.

Yvonne received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Calgary and her Master of Social Work degree from McMaster University. She is currently a PhD Candidate in Social Work from Memorial University.

Yvonne also has teaching experience at the University and College level in the field of Social Work and Global Studies. Her current research interest is with Haudenosaunee women and mental health as it relates to lateral violence.
