Dr. Frank Sirotich is the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Toronto Branch and a sessional lecturer at the FIFSW. Frank has 20 years of experience working in the community mental health and addictions sector in a clinical, administrative and research capacity.
He has led the development of a peer program evaluation initiative at CMHA in which people with lived experience of a mental health or addiction challenge are trained to undertake evaluations of community mental health programs. His research has focused on identifying factors that influence service utilization and affect health outcomes for marginalized populations that have a serious mental illness. He is currently leading a provincial study examining the needs of individuals enrolled in community mental health services using the Ontario Common Assessment of Need (OCAN), a standardized, consumer-led assessment tool extensively used in the community mental health sector.
