Biography:
Corry Azzopardi (she/her) holds a PhD (2015) and MSW (2002) from the University of Toronto, Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, where she is currently appointed as Assistant Professor Status-Only and Sessional Lecturer.
Dr. Azzopardi’s primary affiliation is with The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Division of Paediatric Medicine, Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Program, where she has worked for more than 20 years in clinical social work and interdisciplinary research capacities.
In her current role as Health Systems Research Scientist at SickKids, Dr. Azzopardi’s practice-based research portfolio concentrates in the areas of gender-based violence, child maltreatment, and trauma-informed paediatric healthcare.
