Shiyou Wu, MSW, is a PhD candidate (expected 2017) from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Social Work. He is also the UNC Chancellor Fellow. His research interests include social determinants of health among children and youth; design and development of social interventions, with special emphasis on interventions to reduce health disparities, and to improve health outcomes, and the socioeconomic well-being of low-income youth and families in industrialized and developing countries.
